Dear Old Bridge Elementary Parents/Guardians,

It is with great pleasure that I serve as the appointed principal of Old Bridge Elementary School. I have been dedicated to the field of education for the past 16 years and am proud to say that I have served all of those years in Prince William County Public Schools, specifically at Old Bridge Elementary.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in elementary and kindergarten education from Pennsylvania State University and spent my first eight years teaching second and third grade students. It was during this time that I went on to earn my master's degree in initiatives in education transformation from George Mason University, and because I wanted to continue to make a strong impact on student learning and the community, I obtained my second master's degree in educational leadership from George Mason.

My education and experience have enabled me to take on the role of the assistant principal at Old Bridge for 4 years and as Principal for the past 3 years. You might also like to know that I am a proud wife and mother of three children, ages 6, 4 and 1.

It is my belief to stand firm that we at Old Bridge will remain lifelong learners who believe that all students can learn. I will strive to maintain the legacy of the success of Old Bridge's long history of high achievement and expectations, along with the teachers and staff. I will continue to build on the strong relationships that I have already made with many of the parents/guardians, students, and community partners, and will look forward to creating new ones. My relationships are built on a positive, diverse, and safe school culture, with collaboration, care, and commitment.

It is important for me to share that I will always have an open-door policy and will take the time to listen to feedback and welcome your input and ideas. I look forward to working with you as a team, using a child-centered approach, in continuing to help each student reach his or her individual potential.

Sincerely,

Alyssa C. Francisco Principal
