Dear Parents,
The Prince William County Public School Preschool Special Education Program has Preschool Peer Model opportunities at Old Bridge Elementary School. Our Preschool Program at Old Bridge Elementary School will serve children ages three and four years old with developmental delays, along with their appropriate peer models. There will be six openings for children ages three and four years of age to serve as peer models during the 2024-25 school year. Children must be at least 36 months old by September 30, 2024 and priority consideration is given to students who live in the Old Bridge Elementary school attendance area. Three and four-year old children will be enrolled in school five days per week for a half-day session in the afternoon.
Selection Process:
Children will be invited to participate in a 30-minute playgroup; June 3, 2024 at 3:45. Children must demonstrate age-appropriate language and social skills to qualify for the lottery selection. Parents will be notified via email regarding the status of their child’s selection to participate in the program. If your child was not chosen, he or she will be placed on a waiting list and if a space becomes available during the school year, we will call you.
Enrollment Process and Agreement:
Children will be selected to participate in the program through a lottery. Those who are selected for the Preschool Program will need to be registered at Old Bridge Elementary School. Registration forms will be completed by appointment with the front office before school begins, NOT ONLINE. You will need to provide the office with proof of residency (deed or lease) and 2 additional proofs (water bill, electric bill, driver’s license, etc) and your child’s birth certificate. A physical/well child check and immunization record will be required as well at the time of your registration appointment.
