School Counseling Department Mission:
The school counseling program at Old Bridge Elementary will provide all students with a comprehensive, developmental program which gives them an opportunity to gain an understanding of self and others in a safe, caring, and encouraging environment.  We will deliver large-group activities, small group and individual counseling, and school-wide programs to promote academic readiness, as well as career and social/emotional development.

School Counseling Department Vision:

The Vision of the Old Bride Elementary School Counseling program holds the belief that school counseling is an essential and integral part of the overall education process.  Our comprehensive school counseling program plays a vital role in encouraging every child to strive toward academic and personal excellence.  It is built on the belief that all children are lifelong learners and are successful when educational, career, and personal objectives are attained through the counseling program.

Growth and learning are developmental; therefore, school counseling must be developmental and sequential.  It must also be proactive, as well as reactive.  Data is used to drive the program concerning development, evaluation, and accountability.
